The word fresh gets thrown around a lot. At tacoshop, fresh means we start with whole ingredients. Our tortillas are made daily. From hot sauce to aguas, we make our own. Everything is scratch-made and made to our James Beard nominated Chef's standards. We like to think of tacoshop as slow food for fast people.
tacoshop is a casual, modern taqueria that pays homage to all the latino flavors that Chef Lucas Manteca loves. We have mad respect for authentic Mexican food, but tacoshop is authentic only to how we love to eat: a playful and creative fusion of ingredients and flavors.
It’s a little taqueria, a lot snack bar, and it caters to all appetites—yes, vegetarians too. From our crowd-favorite street corn to your soon-to-be-fave yucca fries, this is food you'll want every day of the week, for lunch, for dinner, and all the cravings in between. Pick up your order. If you order by phone, please pay in person when you pick up your order.

OUR MENU
What makes our menu different? We start with whole ingredients for the ultimate freshness. We even make our own hot sauces!
*Please note that if you use a credit card, Tacoshop will charge and additional 3% to help offset the processing cost. This amount is not more than what we pay in fees. We do not surcharge on debit cards. We rather be upfront on the reason and give you the option of choosing your method of payment than increasing the prices to cover the possible cost regardless you are paying cash or card. We hope you understand and we appreciate your business.
Burros
Vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian ... we have all your bases covered (except we can't make the burros gluten free).

About Chef Lucas
Lucas was nominated for the prestigious James Beard Award in 2014 for Best Chef in the mid-Atlantic region, and was named New Jersey's Local Food Hero by Edible Jersey magazine in recognition of his efforts to sustain the healthy bounty that defines the state. Lucas is known for his creative fusion of bold Latin flavors with American coastal classics for irresistible results.

For over a decade, creative duo Lucas Manteca and artist/designer Deanna Ebner have owned and operated the best restaurants in South Jersey, including Quahog's Seafood Shack in Stone Harbor. Fans of The Red Store at Cape May Point will be thrilled to see our signature empanadas, and the Banananut Smoothie with Chef Lucas's Smart Seasoning here.
